Parks & Recreation

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide opportunities for the citizens of Cleveland to improve their quality of life through recreational services. We offer parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, walking trails, recreational facilities, and a greenway, that provide programs for all ages.

Parks and Recreation also includes urban forestry, which maintains these beautiful facilities with landscaping such as flowers, shrubbery, and trees.

Memorial Tree Program

The City of Cleveland's Parks and Recreation Department's Memorial Tree Program provides the opportunity for residents to memorialize loved ones with a tree planted along the Greenway or in one of our city parks. The cost is $200 to participate in this program. Please contact Dan Hartman for additional information.
