April is Fair Housing Month

April is Fair Housing Month in the United States, and the City of Cleveland is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in housing without discrimination. Although fair housing has been the law of the land for more than 40 years, some landlords, real estate professionals, and mortgage providers are still unclear about their responsibilities and obligations under the law.

The answer to this problem is on-going training. Training is provided yearly at the Tennessee Fair Housing Matters Conference held annually in April. Conference participants can earn real estate continuing education credit.
