CLEVELAND, TN – Cleveland Public Works Department crews are preparing for the city's leaf collection season beginning the morning of November 4, 2019 and will conclude on January 31, 2020. The city of Cleveland begins gathering leaves on a biweekly collection route starting with Route 1 on Monday and finishing with Route 10 the following Friday.
The schedule may deviate slightly depending on how heavy the leaf drop volume is in particular areas around the city.
For curbside leaf pick-up, residents should rake and/or pile their leaves to the curb or right-of-way. Leaves must be free of sticks, rocks and other debris in order for our crews to collect them. This helps keep our machines and equipment from being damaged. Also, do not place leaves on or near storm drains, catch basins or ditches. Placing leaves in those areas will clog stormwater drains.
If your leaves are not collected or if you have any questions about the city's leaf collection procedures, please contact the Public Works Department at (423) 472-2851. You may view the city’s leaf collection route schedule at www.clevelandtn.gov/leafcollection.
